Calyx developed the engine that powered the voting platform for the Kaizer Chiefs Player of the Quarter site; a promotion with Nissan South Africa. After each Kaizer Chiefs match, fans would log onto the site and vote for who they felt was the best Kaizer Chiefs player. They would then be entered into a draw to win prizes for each match, each quarter, and the grand prize of a new car at the end of the promotion.
Our system automatically published accurate match statistics, combined and computed voting results across web, SMS, and Mxit platforms, and then ordered and displayed voting results live. The platform was deeply integrated with Facebook and fully functional over mobile devices. The campaign was a massive success, outperforming all expectations.
